Easy Web Things is run by Kristie Addison.
Kristie probably created her first website around 2004, and began using WordPress shortly afterwards. Building and maintaining websites became a side-project for her over the decades. Eventually website demand increased to the point where Kristie decided to launch Easy Web Things and make it her main focus.
In 2022 Kristie moved from Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, to work remotely from Piwakawaka Methven. (A small town near Ōpuke Mount Hutt in Waitaha Canterbury, Aotearoa New Zealand.)

In 2026 it’s becoming harder to run a digital based business while making sustainable choices. We’re still trying though…
We reduce, reuse, repair, and recycle. We use active transport or work remotely to reduce travel.
At time of writing, hosting websites with us has supported the planting of 375 native trees. In 2026 we need to increase the numbers of websites we host if we are to continue this aspect of our business.
How can independent websites have a positive effect on our world?

– Providing information direct to customers, away from the distractions and other downsides of social media.
– Enabling small and medium businesses to provide localised, interesting, diverse, specialist and niche services that huge corporations can’t or wont deliver.
