About Easy Web Things

Easy Web Things is based in Aotearoa New Zealand.  

Our mission is to partner with small businesses to help them achieve their website goals.

Our Story so far

Easy Web Things is run by Kristie Addison. 

Kristie probably created her first website around 2004, and began using WordPress a couple of years later.  Building and maintaining websites became a side-project for her over the decades. Eventually website demand increased to the point where Kristie decided to launch Easy Web Things and make it her main focus.  

Kristie recently moved from Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, to work remotely from Piwakawaka Methven. (A small town near Ōpuke Mount Hutt in Waitaha Canterbury, Aotearoa New Zealand.)

Easy Web Things has clients and connections around Aotearoa and beyond.

Environmental considerations

We have recently changed to New Zealand based web hosting for most of our clients, and offset some of our estimated carbon while supporting the regeneration of native New Zealand forests.  This is through subscribing to mynativeforest.com

The few websites we currently host overseas are with GreenGeeks.com who have their own carbon offset set up for hosting.

We reduce, reuse, and recycle.  We run a paperless office to minimise waste.  We have a worm farm.  If you ever visit Kristie’s home office you will likely be subjected to a garden tour, where she will point out interesting insects and tell you she lets the lawns grow long for the pollinators.

Kristie and our main subcontractors work from home offices, which reduces emissions from regular commuting.
